Morag Lucey is the CEO of Televerde, a global demand generation company whose business model provides the opportunity for disempowered communities throughout the globe. She boasts nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in marketing: eliminating silos, delivering on revenue and profit targets, and inspiring teams.
As the CMO at Avaya, a multinational communications technology company, Lucey delivered a return on investment of 16.5 for demand generation while leading a global team of 130 at each point in the sales pipeline. At Avaya, she steadily navigated internal and external communications teams through the chapter 11 process and the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange, successfully rebranding Avaya in the process. She strategically repositioned the company from a legacy player to a leader in customer experience solutions and developed a training program for the marketing department to establish best practices and teach modern marketing strategies, technologies, and tactics. Her expertise at the company resulted in a fully functioning marketing and sales technology stack that more than doubled pipeline contribution and conversion, as well as social media engagement.
Prior to joining Avaya, Lucey served as the CMO for Applied Intelligence at BAE Systems, a defense, security, and aerospace company in London. She developed a more cohesive brand alignment for the company’s cyber offerings to derive greater value from the highly-regarded BAE Systems brand and repositioned the company to attract larger deals across both government and commercial markets with a specific focus on growing North America.
During her three years as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Management at Convergys, a global customer management company, Lucey negotiated partnerships with companies like Microsoft, Nokia Seimens Networks, and IBM to enhance and extend the solution footprint while leading rebranding efforts to successfully position Convergys for acquisition at maximum value. Her initiatives such as industry-specific solution development, infrastructure development, updates to social media practices, and the creation of a vertically-focused business development team grew the sales pipeline by 65%. Lucey also served as an active member of the leadership mentoring program, participating in both leadership and strategy workgroups and one-on-one mentoring opportunities.
Lucey also worked at Avaya earlier in her career as both the Vice President of EMEA Marketing and the Vice President of Global Marketing and Channel Management for Small and Medium Business Solutions. She was responsible for driving business segments of up to $800 million through strategic planning, brand development, pipeline creation and conversion, and digital marketing. There, she grew revenue 15% quarter-over-quarter and ensured strong returns on investment for major brand sponsorships with partners such as the AT&T ProAm, NASCAR, and the World Cup. Her marketing strategies helped the company secure and maintain a No. 1 market position in the UK and North America.
