Raymond Sheen is an accomplished Senior Executive, Board Member, Thought Leader, and Consultant with more than 30 years of success in the biotech, aerospace, electrical distribution, appliances, electronics, machining, medical device, pharmaceutical, automotive, financial services, and engineering industries. Leveraging extensive experience in operational leadership for growth-focused organizations, he is a valuable asset for start-up, entrepreneurial, and established aerospace, biotech, or applied technology companies requiring expert assistance with new technology integration or corporate restructuring. His broad areas of expertise include product development, project management, continuous improvement, program management, process engineering, team building, management consulting, coaching, government programs, and change management.
Throughout his executive career, Raymond has held leadership positions at organizations including Product & Process Innovation Inc. and General Electric. He has completed multiple projects across a diverse range of industries including the management and development of the US Air Force’s first microprocessor flight simulator, an initiative completed in just four months. Proficient in the development and implementation of process improvements and methodologies, Raymond worked closely with a biotech company to create a toolkit for assessing risks which saw incidences of FDA non-compliance drop by more than 50%. He collaborated with the Connecticut Department of Labor to implement improvements to reduce the time for retraining of unemployed citizens from six months to six weeks, and as Chair of an industry panel has represented 15 companies in the management of quality standards for electrical distribution products.
Raymond attained his MS in Astronautical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his BS in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from the US Air Force Academy. He is a certified Project Management Professional, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Scrum Master. Ray has authored several books including the Guide to Building Your Business Case published by Harvard Business Review and he is a contributor to the Guide to Project Management also published by Harvard Business Review. Ray has also authored the book De-Mystifying Earned Value Management. Currently, he has received his graduate certificate in digital leadership and digital strategy and his furthering his education in the space to receive his Micro Master's Degree from Boston University. As an experienced Board Member, Raymond has held positions with not-for-profit organizations including the South Carolina Association of Independent Home Schools, and Customer Value Creation International. He has lectured at the China Institute for Innovation and serves as an Instructor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
