Michael Lappin is an accomplished Senior Executive, Consultant, and Board Member with more than 45 years of success across affordable housing, real estate, non-profit management, financial services, community development, and management consulting areas. Leveraging extensive experience in Federal, State and local housing financing programs, he is a valuable advisor for an organization seeking to provide creative affordable housing solutions. Previously, he led The Community Preservation Corporation, and CPC Resources, Inc. for over 30 years.  Under his tenure, CPC and its subsidiaries financed or developed almost 145,000 units of residential housing in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.  The housing incuded rental and special needs housing as well as condominiums and cooperatives in emerging markets.  These developments ranged from tenant-in-place rehabilitation to renovation of vacant buildings and new construction.  Under his leadership, CPC renovated the 12,271 residential units at Parkchester in the Bronx, the nation's largest privately-owned residential complex.  While at CPC, he pioneered an investment program by New York City and State public pension funds in affordable housing.
