Mark Shore, a well-known expert on alternative investments with more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets including former COO of VK Capital, ($300 million assets under management), a wholly-owned Morgan Stanley commodity trading advisor business unit and former Head of Risk at Octane Research, ($1.1 billion assets under management), a Swiss based alternative investment firm. Mark has held his series 3 license since 1992.

In 2008, Mark founded Shore Capital Research an alternative investment consulting and research firm regarding due diligence of managers, research of markets, educational workshops, and business development. His research is found at www.shorecapmgmt.com He also provides research/ expert witness testimony for litigation in the capital markets.
Mark is an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business where he teaches what may be the only known accredited managed futures course in the country.
Mark has contributed chapters to Wiley & Sons books on hedge funds and commodities. He is a contributing writer to several global publications and organizations including the Eurex Exchange, CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE), Micro-Cap Review, Seeking Alpha, Swiss Derivatives Review and many others.
Mark is a frequent speaker at alternative investment events. In 2013 Mark created and hosted the popular internet talk show on alternative investments “Skewing Your Diversification”.
