Magaly “Magy” Barroso is a solutions-oriented Human Resources Executive.  She has extensive staff and leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, retention, and change management.  Magy is an innovative and creative problem-solver adept at managing compliance initiatives while fostering a culture of empowerment to bolster staff morale.

 

With over 20 years of success strategizing and administering HR practices for healthcare, consulting, Service, manufacturing, and retail industries nation-wide,  Magy is currently the Founder and Owner of 1st Simple People Solutions. 1st stop for Simple People Solutions consulting and special projects on all HR, organizational development, and learning topics, for both individuals and organizations nationwide. As Founder and Owner, she is responsible for identifying and developing talent into diverse teams that deliver sustainable results as they are empowered to collaborate and execute.

 

Before founding  1st Simple People Solutions, Magy held a long-standing leadership position as the Corporate Administrative Director of Talent Effectiveness and Learning & Development and Interim Vice President of HR and Learning with Nicklaus Children Health System.

 

Through hard work and dedication, she has worked her way through the ranks, starting as an HR Generalist and Manager of the Employee Service Center. Magy developed, directed, and administered corporate talent strategies and HR policies, including employee engagement, performance management, succession planning, and communications for 4,500 employees and 200 staff with an annual budget of $1.5M. 

 

Along with her executive career, Magy has been featured in Fortune Magazine’s 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity| Computerworld 100’s Best Places to Work in IT, Fortune Magazine’s Best Places to Work for Millennials, Fortune Magazine’s Best Workplaces in Healthcare, and People Magazine’s 50 Companies that Care. Magy graduated with a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership at St. Thomas University.
