Marketing, communications...welcome to the gray zone. What used to be separate functions responsible for discrete portions of the customer journey are now fused together, although many marketers and communicators don't know it. Integration, enabled and enhanced by MarTech and CommTech, is the destination. The CCMO (Chief Communications and Marketing Officer) or CMCO (you get it) of the future will need to preside over all stakeholder touch points, be comfortable with technology, be agile in practice, and be platform agnostic.
