Tyler was interviewed by AdvisoryCloud on December 19 , 2019 as part of our Featured Advisor Interview series.

  • AC - Tell us more about your main areas of expertise for being an advisor?

Tyler Knotts - My superpower is Business Optimization. With nearly two decades of driving operational excellence across multiple top-tier organizations, I have had the opportunity to take ideas to implementation by creating long-term strategies that have impacted both the bottom and top-line.

  • AC - Describe your main motivation for being an advisor?

Tyler Knotts - To teach is to learn twice. I have an obligation to share what I have absorbed and learned with the intent of helping others succeed, whether that be professionally or personally. We are all here for the same reason, to grow and succeed. We should absolutely be doing that together.

  • AC - Elaborate on the types of situations, challenges or decisions, you feel you could add the most value to as an advisor?

Tyler Knotts - I enjoy trying to find a needle in a haystack. We can absolutely work on the challenges you know you have, but I like to find and solve the challenges you didn’t know you had. I have an ability to analyze businesses performance and utilize my experiences and knowledge to create new and innovative business processes.

  • AC - Do you see any disruptive trends on the horizon in your industry or position?

Tyler Knotts - Personally, Artificial Intelligence is, and will continue to be, a massive advantage if used correctly.

  • AC - Tell me about the most impactful project or decision you’ve been involved in as an executive.

Tyler Knotts - Growing my current agency organically has been trying, yet incredibly rewarding. Regardless of the potential loss or gain, we make decisions on what is right and believe in the long-term it will be what defines our organization. Throughout my interactions, it is common for business owners to forget their people are what makes a company or product. If we put the people first and if decisions or offers do not align with our values, we have to stick to our operating principles. My biggest impact leading my business, or advising others, will be that we never steered away from operating with integrity and pride.
